Melissa has 35 years of experience in financial services, and she provides business owners with advisory and support services to help them make sound financial decisions. Melissa began her career in bookkeeping for a local business in Asheboro, NC and most recently worked for over 16 years in varying financial capacities for a large church in North Mississippi.
She was the church’s Financial Administrator for the past 6 years while also running her bookkeeping and financial coaching business full-time. Melissa has her QuickBooks Pro Advanced certification, has trained with Ramsey Solutions as a master financial coach, and has countless hours of training in accounting and advanced bookkeeping skills through college courses and under the tutelage of leaders in her field. She is a Lifetime Member of the Digital Bookkeeper Association. Melissa’s business, MRK Avenue, employs a small team of dedicated workers and offers services such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, monthly reports, payroll, bank account reconciliation, and financial coaching.
Melissa has been married for 37 years, has 3 children, and 2 grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, knitting, hiking, and reading.
